Welcome to Miss MacDonald's 1/2A website!

We have a total of 17 students in our classroom. There are 9 grade two students and 8 grade one students. 
 
 
Allergies
We do have food allergies in the classroom.  
We have several severe nut allergies in the classroom. Please refrain from sending any snacks and/or food that may contain nuts of any kind. 
In order to keep everyone safe, it is very important that sandwiches and other products containing nuts are not sent to school.  If "treats" are sent for a child's birthday or a classroom party please ensure that labels are read carefully.  Often a label will end with the words; may contain peanuts/tree nuts or processed in a factory that also processes peanuts or nuts.  These products should not be sent to school.  Knowing what will be sent in, ahead of time, for class celebrations will be very helpful.  That way I will be able to determine if problems may arise with other individual allergies or intolerances.  If you have any questions regarding what may be sent to school, please feel free to contact me. 

 

The Grade 5B class is our buddy class this year. We meet every Friday doing a variety of activities including reading, writing, art, gym, or math. 
Parents, please feel free to email me at anytime to share concerns and/or questions.
 

 

 

 

*Scholastic Book Order forms always go home on a Friday and are due the following Friday.

 

 

 

* Parents are asked to read and initial agendas each evening. If you have a question, please do not hesitate to send me a note in the agenda or email me.

 

 

 

* Please check the school calendar regularly to keep informed and up-to-date about special school events for students and their parents.

 

 

* We will be in need of several volunteers for our skating field trips starting Friday, September 18th.  Please check our sign-up sheet by the classroom door if you are able to help out. More information will be available at Meet the Staff night on Thursday, September 17th at 6:30 pm.
